This is my second theater review since the fringe review marathon of 2009. The show i am writing about closed in mid december but is still worth reviewing. It may run again.
Asuncion is about a comical assumption misunderstanding made by the neurotically politically correct character of Edgar played by The Social Network's Jesse Eisenberg.
The friendship between Edgar and his roommate Vinny played by Justin Bartha (The Hangover)is challenged when Stuart ( Remy Auberjonois), Edgar's brother leaves his wife Asuncion (Camille Mana) with them for the weekend. The reason for this is revealed at the end of the play when the unsettling lustful attraction fascination for her brings Edgar and Vinny back together after their shortlived psychological separation.
I really feel that Edgar is moi. In fact, I am channeling him right now as i write this review.
